Voices of Donation

“I never knew that bone or tissue could improve the quality of someone’s life so much,” says Mattie. “I would encourage anyone to donate tissue.”

“It is such a wonderful gift by a donor family, especially because they have just suffered the loss of a loved one, and to make the decision to help others by donating their loved one’s body to better the health of others is one of the most selfless acts. To think of others, especially at one of the most emotionally difficult events in their lives, is an incredibly generous act.”

“But there is comfort in knowing that he lives on, not just in our hearts, but also in the lives of those benefiting from his donated tissue. Connelly always had an open heart and wanted to help everyone.”

“We never met either of Meagan’s donor families, but we always felt a connection with them. If it were not for them, we would not have had 17 incredibly amazing years with Meagan.”

“Donation is helping Evan to live on,” Jessica said. “It keeps his memory alive and we know that somewhere out there someone has a part of him and is living a better life because of him.”
